NASFA 's Soliciting Volunteers for the Executive Committee as well as Committee Chairs

The Nominating Committee is working to develop their slate of nominations for various positions on the Executive Committee as well as Committee Chairs. On behalf of the Nominating Committee, we’d like to invite you or any member of NASFA to express your interest in any of the positions available. Or nominate a peer.

The positions will be available for the upcoming fiscal year (FY20), that begins July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. Each position is a one-year term.

Participants agree to participate on monthly executive committee calls and additional committee calls as needed. The monthly executive committee calls are scheduled in advance and are approximately one hour in length. For a sample of responsibilities and expectations for each position, click here.


The slate of nominations will be presented and elected by the membership during the annual business meeting during the national conference & resource expo in New Orleans, Louisiana this June.


You can complete the form for yourself or nominate a peer.  Please don't volunteer and nominate someone on the same form.

Deadline for interest is Friday, May 10, 2019.



Executive Committee Positions & Criteria

Executive Committee Positions are ONLY open to State Representatives and their state must be a current member. To see a list of current members, click here.


Positions for the Executive Committee are:

  • Secretary/Treasurer
  • Vice Presidents At-Large (2 qty)

The Secretary/Treasurer shall oversee all monetary matters and provide verbal financial reports to the executive committee during the monthly conference calls. The Secretary/Treasurer shall serve as Chair of the Finance Committee. In the absence of the President and the President Elect, the Secretary/Treasurer shall serve as President.

The two (2) Vice Presidents At-Large shall provide advice and counsel to the committee from a universal perspective across regional lines. They are Co-Chairs of the Learning Series Committee in which they oversee webinar topics, solicit webinar presenters and share responsibilities for moderating the webinars.


Committee Co-Chairs & Criteria

Committee Co-Chairs are open to ALL members, as long their organization is a paid member. Eligible member types are State, Corporate, Small Business and Other Governmental.


Committee Chairs preside and participate on their committee calls and provide reports to the Executive Committee during their monthly calls. Traditionally each committee has a minimum of two chairpersons; occasionally the number as been expanded. To see a list of current members, click here.
