Drones - Image Uses and Rules Near State Buildings

Hear about Washington State’s drone rules which were adopted in 2016 and the successful rule-making process used to create them. In addition, learn how professionals are utilizing critical information from drone images.              


PRESENTERS:

Matt Jones is the Capitol Campus Physical Security Manager with Washington's Department of Enterprise Services.  Matt oversees physical security technologies, operational security, incident response and the agency contract for law enforcement with the Washington State Patrol.  Prior to working for DES, Matt has worked in IT Security and Network Administration for several fortune 100 companies.

Linda Kent is the Enterprise Services Public Affairs Manager with Washington's Department of Enterprise Services.  Linda oversees communication and stakeholder outreach plans for agency rule-making and enterprise policy at the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services. She also serves as the communications advisor to the state’s Sub-cabinet on Business Diversity. Prior to working at DES, Linda was a communicator for the state Department of Ecology and the lead communications strategist for the state’s Marine Debris Task Force, which was established to oversee Washington’s multi-agency response to the 2011 Japan tsunami.

Corey Oddi is the Enterprise Account Executive with Pix4D Inc. For over 10 years, Corey has been providing aerial imagery and geospatial software solutions to professionals within both public and private sectors.  Corey is currently in the process of relocating her family from Rochester, NY to Denver, CO where Pix4D will be opening a new office.
