The Architecture & Engineering Division within the Department of Administration is looking for an individual with a background in either Architecture or Engineering to joint their team in this new role.  The Facility Condition Assessment Manager will be responsible for the creation of the Statewide Facility Condition Assessment Program.  This project is in the early stages and will include decisions such as how data will be managed and how assessments will be done with consistency, and the organization and facilitation of large groups of stockholders.  This position works under the direction of and in collaboration with the Administrator, with additional involvement of the Planning Manager, to assist statewide facility staff in the identification and prioritization of facility needs.  Responsibilities will also include assisting in the development of the Long-Range Building Program to refine and define diverse statewide facility needs and project planning and management.  The incumbent also manages individual projects from concept through the production of construction documents and the solicitation of bids.  The incumbent will travel the State of Montana about 50% of the time.  This travel will often be day trips with the occasional overnight trips.
