Providing Best Value Contracts For Government Facilities Administrators

This webinar will provide an overview of the best value contracting practices of NASPO ValuePoint, the cooperative purchasing organization of the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO), the association of the chief procurement officers of all fifty states, the District of Columbia and US Territories. With ValuePoint’s legacy of twenty-five years assisting states in their collaboration on procurements, states have built the largest public procurement cooperative in the nation offering 59 categories of contracts with over 350 excellent suppliers awarded contracts pursuant to competitive solicitations managed by states in full accord with state procurement statutes. These suppliers are ready and available to serve all state agencies, public education institutions, and local governments. Members of the ValuePoint Education and Outreach team will identify current and upcoming contract portfolios that are, or will be, available to public agency facilities administrators. Information will be provided as to how contracts are established, where contract and vendor information can be found, and what steps need to be taken to participate in the contracts.

Voight Shealy:  Former Chief Procurement Officer for the State of South Carolina. Managed the state’s central procurement office for twenty years responsible for all procurement including supplies, services, information technology, and construction. Elected to fifteen years of service to the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Procurement Officials including Finance Chair and 2006-2007 President. Recipient of the NASPO Giulio Mazzone Award for meritorious service, NASPO’s highest honor. Joined NASPO ValuePoint as the Education & Outreach Director in August 2014.

Jeff Holden:  Former Chief Procurement Officer and Commissioner of Administration for the State of South Dakota.   Served multiple terms on the National Association of State Procurement Officials Board of Directors and as NASPO President in 2007-2008. Recipient of the NASPO Giulio Mazzone Award for meritorious service, NASPO’s highest honor. Joined NASPO ValuePoint as the Midwest Region Education and Outreach Coordinator in March of 2017.
