Soliciting Volunteers for the Executive Committee & Committee Chairs

As the Nominating Committee is preparing their list of candidates for the board and committees, we would like to invite any member of NASFA to express your interest in any of the positions available. We will be selecting for Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President’s At Large and Chairs of the various committees.
The Nominating Committee will develop a slate for the membership to approve during the business meeting, which will be held in Virginia Beach during the national conference & resource expo.
The positions will be available for the upcoming fiscal year (FY18), that begins July 1 , 2017 to June 30, 2018. Each position is a one year term. Participants agree to participate on monthly executive committee calls and additional calls as needed. The monthly executive committee calls are scheduled in advance and are approximately one hour in length.
You can complete the form yourself or nominate a peer. Please don't volunteer and nominate someone on the same form.

Executive Committee Positions & Criteria
Executive Committee Positions are ONLY open to State Representatives and their state must be a current member. To see a list of current members, click here.
The Secretary/Treasurer shall oversee all monetary matters and provide verbal financial reports to the the executive committee during the monthly conference calls. The Secretary/Treasurer shall serve as Chair of the Finance Committee. In the absence of the President and the President Elect, the Secretary/Treasurer shall serve as President.
The two Vice Presidents At-Large shall provide advice and counsel to the committee from a universal perspective across regional lines. They are Co-Chairs of the Learning Series Committee in which they oversee webinar topics, solicit webinar presenters and share responsibilities for moderating the webinars.
Committee Co-Chairs & Criteria
Committee Co-Chairs are open to all members, as long their organization is a paid member. Eligible member types are State, Corporate, Small Business and Other Governmental. To see a list of current members, click here. Traditionally each committee has a minimum of two chairpersons, however, occasionally the number as been expanded.
