Here at the Department of Enterprise Services (DES), we do things a bit differently than most government organizations.  Similar to the private sector, we strive to deliver competitive and innovative cost-effective solutions that best meet the diverse needs of our customers.

Our Real Estate Services (RES) Division's mission is to provide safe and efficient leased space for state agencies, boards and commissions, educational institutions and elected officials to conduct their work while being effective stewards of state resources; including lease management services, construction management, the purchase and sale of state owned properties, and other real estate transactions as directed in RCW 43.82, State Agency Housing.

What you should know is that this is a fast-paced job.  You will be working with the Design Team, Leasing Team, Contract Specialists, and Management Team.  Your biggest goal will be to learn our business as you will report data driven recommendations to RES management on process improvement strategies, project tracking and performance. You will need to be analytic and great at managing data, as well as have exceptional organizational skills.  At any given time, this unit is managing up to 150 projects that include lease renewals, expansions, alterations, and relocations.  You will be responsible for analyzing project related data to ensure timeliness and productivity measures are maintained and customer needs are being met.
We are an agency and office seeking continued improvement.  We support creative ideas to continuously improve processes not only for efficiencies, but to maintain great customer service relations. We encourage innovative methods and processes to improve work flow and business objectives.
What you should know about this office, is that we value one another.  We enjoy recognizing each other's accomplishments, support each other, engage one another, and seek to engage employees by supporting innovation in a safe and enjoyable work environment.
