This position will be expected to travel, up to 20% of the time to all direct care and treatment sites located throughout Minnesota.
This position leads the facility operations for all Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) owned and leased facilities, including building occupancy, space planning, site and custodial maintenance, site safety and security, and energy conservation so that business units can operate in facilities that support their programs.
Develop and coordinate the space planning process so that space decisions are made in a planned, thoughtful, sustainable and energy efficient manner.
Manage and coordinate capital improvement and repair and replacement projects in DCT owned and leased facilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Architecture, Interior Design or related field
Four years of advanced professional experience working with a large-capital plant; delivering occupancy services, project administration and other related matters.
Advanced level experience in space planning, relocations and furniture, fixtures, equipment coordination; design and construction; general construction practices; security systems, materials and equipment; mechanical and electrical equipment and related distribution systems.
Ability to use current AutoCAD and/or Revit software with proficiency.
Use Google Sketch-Up software.
Ability to analyze and interpret policies and to diagnose and solve problems using sound judgement and sound decision-making skills.
Knowledge of contract procedures, work measurement and management techniques.
Work well in a team setting and be a positive and productive team member.
Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated expertise in specialty areas such as: space planning, relocation and FFE coordination, strategic capital planning, sustainable building design and renewable energy systems; construction phase administration; owner’s representative duties on outsourced projects; and use of AutoCAD, Revit and Sketch-Up software to facilitate efficient design and documentation.
Emphasis on quality control review of construction/bid documents and specification writing.
B3 project experience – Minnesota Sustainable Building Guidelines.
