Innovations Awards Program
The NASFA Innovations Award was established in 1993 and recognizes outstanding achievement by a state facility organization in establishing an innovative new program or improving an existing program. The program is intended to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in state government. An Innovations Award, displaying significant results and utilizing innovative facility administration solutions, will be presented to the outstanding program.
The winner(s) of the NASFA Innovations Awards, sponsored by VFA, are recognized at an awards banquet during the National Conference & Resource Expo. The award winner is presented with a plaque, and one representative from the winner program will be reimbursed for travel, accommodations and one complimentary state registration. Winning programs are highlighted in NASFA’s newsletter, State Facilities Quarterly, and on the association’s Web site.

Scholarship Program (Not currently available) The purpose of the NASFA Scholarship is to encourage attendance at the NASFA National Conference & Resource Expo and increase participation in the workings of the Association. Recipients may be from 1.) States not previously members of the Association; 2.) States who are not current with the Association membership dues but have been participating members in the past; or 3.) States currently in good standing who demonstrate a definite hardship in attending the national conference & resource expo. To help broaden membership to States having never participated in the Association, the scholarship would provide incentive to those States by indemnifying a membership for one year. For purposes of retaining membership of States that have been inactive for more than one fiscal year, the scholarship would reinstate membership for a one-year period. To encourage conference attendance of member State’s, the scholarship would provide reimbursement of attendance costs. |
