From the Jackson Hole Airport to the Jackson Lake Lodge Just over 26 miles approximately 36 minutes: 1) When you leave the airport, make a left onto Highway 89 (this will take you away from the town of Jackson). 2) You will stay on it for approximately 20 miles. 3) There will be signs for the town of Moose and then open space for quite a while. **Caution – please be aware of migrating elk, moose and bison throughout this area** 4) When you get to the Moran Entrance please make a left into the Park (US 89/191/287). There is a ranger station and an entrance fee of $25 per car ($12 per person if traveling in a shuttle/taxi). 5) From the entrance proceed about 5 miles – staying on this road. (There will be a left turn saying Jackson Lake, the Dam and Signal Mountain PLEASE DO NOT TURN HERE.) 6) Stay on the same road and you will cross a small bridge and there will be a driveway on the left. 7) This entrance has a sign that says “Jackson Lake Lodge – Headquarters for the Grand Teton Lodge Company”. 8) Please note if you go more than 10 miles or get to Colter Bay you have gone too far. From the Town of Jackson to the Jackson Lake Lodge Just over 36 miles approximately 46 minutes: 1) When you come into town you will be on Broadway. Proceed to the main square at Broadway and Cache. 2) There will be a stop light and a sign directing you to the “National Parks”. 3) Make a left onto Cache. 4) As you leave town, you will pass Gros Ventre Junction, the airport, the town of Moose. 5) After you pass the airport you can follow the directions above. From Idaho Falls, Idaho to Jackson Hole Just over 90 miles or just under 2 hours. There are 2 ways to get from Idaho Falls to Jackson Hole. The first and most used goes over Pass. The second goes through Alpine and up the Snake River Canyon. Route #1: Over Teton Pass 1) Take US 26 East to Swan Valley 2) In Swan Valley, turn left on ID 31 3) Follow ID-31 to Victor, ID. 4) In Victor, turn right (East) on ID-33. 5) Follow ID-33 over Teton Pass where it Becomes WY-22 6) Follow WY-22 to US 89/Broadway. --> If you're going to Teton Village, turn at WY-390/ Moose-Wilson Rd. before reaching US-89/Broadway.
Route #2: Via the Snake River Canyon. This route is longer, but quite a bit flatter, too. Recommended for those with trailers or during severe winter weather. 1) Take US 26 East to Swan Valley 2) Continue on US-26 to Alpine 3) At Alpine, WY turn left at US-89 4) US 89 becomes US 191/US-89 at Hoback Junction. 4) Continue North to Jackson --> Note: if you're going to Teton Village, take a left at WY-22 just after Albertsons --> then, turn right at the Moose-Wilson Rd./ WY 390
